,Bastard…!!!’ said Lord Camden when he felt a swirly blade of a strange, unusually mean dagger piercing his back. Tobias, his nephew, was the only person in the chamber with him, so the perpetrator was no mystery. He tried to add something… like “Toby, you treacherous swine! I denounce you!”, but, disappointingly, what came out of his mouth instead was a gurgling stream of thick blood.

The story of this dagger begins with young Tobias Camden, heir to the Camden estate, who was an - undoubtedly - ambitious person from his earliest years, while not very bright, talented, nor gifted in the mystic arts. Fortunately for him (not so for others around him), neither did he excel in the fields of morality and ethics, so he got around by generally backstabbing and hurting other people, occasionally taking credit for someones work, climbing the social ladder quite successfully. The dagger made specifically for the assassination of his uncle takes his name from him – thus “The Social Climber” was forged.

It’s a mean and efficient dagger, twisted and carved at the very end of the blade, to shred and rip apart the flesh with a swift stab as it goes in and out. The assassin of King Marcus the Financially Stable, as he got his hands on this weapon, famously said while examining the blade: ‘Wounds heal over time, but there are exceptions’. The sculpted wings (symbolism of ascension), carved rings with an impressive copper crest, and a slick leather finish, make it ironically beautiful.
